Five specific acupoints are particularly helpful in stopping nosebleeds. They are GV 26, ST 3, B 1, LI 4, and GV 16. GV 26 is located in the middle of the upper lip, two-thirds up from the bottom of the lip or one-third down from the bottom of the nose. ST 3 is directly below the center of the eye, pressing up into the cheekbone. B 1 is at the inner corner of the eye next to the bridge of the nose. LI 4 is the web of the hand where the muscles of the first finger and thumb form a V. GV 16 is at the top of the neck, directly beneath the base of the skull.
