Treatment Work - Conditions

Rotator Cuff Issues

The “Rotator Cuff” is comprised of four muscles: Infraspinatus, Supraspinatus, Subscapularis, and Teres Minor. Supra originates on the top spine of the scapula. Infra originates along the broad, flat bottom of the scapula. Subscapularis originates along the medial border of the scapula and covers the anterior surface of the scapula. Teres Minor originates along the lateral edge of the posterior scapula surface. All four insert on tubercles on the head of the humerus. Primary purpose of the four is to hold the humerus in the glenoid fossa of the shoulder joint (glenohumerol joint to be technically correct). They all also perform specific muscle actions.

If the tendons become too badly stretched, shoulder subluxations or dislocations result. If they become inflamed, one ends up with Rotator Cuff Tendonitis. In addition, the bursa (the fluid filled sack covering the joint) can become inflamed, resulting in bursitis.

The way I treat ANY of these conditions energetically is with the OIDE technique – covering the Origin and Insertion points and running Directed Energy through the muscle. One hand covers the origin points of all four muscles. Fingertips of the other hand cover the insertion points.

Rotator Cuff Rotator Cuff

The Rotator Cuff consists of four muscles. The entire shoulder complex is made up of 18 major muscles. For chronic situations, it is a virtual guarantee that there WILL be involvement with more than just those muscles that are hurting.
